Event | Staycation Escape with Traveloka at KL Journal Hotel

January 13, 2018

Hi Berries!
This post is going to be all about my two days one night staycation experience with Traveloka, in-collaborate with The Butterfly Project at The Kuala Lumpur Journal, one of the hotels that featured on Traveloka!

If you're looking someplace in local to chill and relax with your friends or family, The Kuala Lumpur Journal may be your one of the choices for you to have a short escape from city buzz.

The Kuala Lumpur Journal Hotel was established in 2015, which is located behind Jalan Bukit Bintang. The hotel is just a few minutes away from Bukit Bintang, Lot 10, Pavillion and Jalan Alor. All the famous shopping malls and places are just nearby and you can just walk a short distance and shop anytime.

You can also choose to ride the monorail to reach here as Bukit Bintang station is also just nearby. Every places and corner of this hotel are so Instagram-worthy! I will show you why hehe.

Address:
30, Jalan Beremi, Bukit Bintang, 50200 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur

Alright guys, let's throwback together with my staycation escape with Traveloka and check out every corner of The Kuala Lumpur Journal!

LOBBY
When I was stepped into their hotel, the modern and stylish lobby interior has impressed me so much.

There is a comfy area for visitors to sit and chill.

WORKER'S UNION
Worker's Union is a special space for workshop, meeting and even a party as well. We were registered, having our breakfast, and attend the workshop there.

Our Traveloka talk session was held at Worker's Union too!

Ice Break Session with butterflies and Traveloka

KEDAI KOPI JOURNAL
I was attracted by its name as Kedai Kopi Journal sounds so Malaysia style.
It is actually their main dining area for hotel visitors to have daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets.

Another insta-worthy spot!
For me, Kedai Kopi Journal is not just a great place for dining, it is also a great place for photos too!

Desserts! I want to have more please!

Salad area.

Signature Wagyu Burger order by Zhi Xin, it looks so delicious!

I have got myself a Malaysia curry style fish & chips as I couldn't have any beef. It actually tastes surprisingly good yumm.

Take picture before enjoy my lunch!

We also have our dinner and early Christmas gift exchange at the same place.

I was still not so hungry that day as I have some food during our tea time session. So I just have certain amounts of foods at night.

Few days before our staycation, we were told to prepare Christmas gift for our roommate. It is difficult for me to choose a gift for someone as I never meet Zhi Xin before so I couldn't know what type of stuff she likes & I also rarely celebrate a birthday with any of my friends as well. At the end, I got a perfume for Zhi Xin and I was so nervous because I scared she might not like it haha(over-worried girl)! Luckily, Zhi Xin like the gift that I got for her and we both actually chat more after we check in to our room haha! It's glad to know you, Zhi Xin!

WORKSHOP SESSION
We were ask to select the workshop that we wish to attend during registration. It is the hardest decision for everyone of us as every workshop sounds fun and interesting. Eventually, I decided to join leather passport workshop by DIYKL.

During the workshop, everyone got to make our own leather passport holder. We were guide step by step and she also helped us when we have troubles in making our passport. The hardest part for me was leather name stamping. I tried to stamp my name in straight line but it keeps failed. At the end I just let it slanting haha!

The process of making our personalize passport holder has taken us almost 6 hours to complete.

Finally our hard work is paid off hooray! Wefie session with Ivy, Cheryl, Anis and Eros as we're first few person who complete our personal leather passport!
(alright my face is out of focus again lmao)

ROOM
I seriously want to give a big big thumbs up for our room, it is super comfy and clean!

I personally love this kind of modern bathroom design.

You can saw Twin Tower through the window of the room!

Happy girl with her bed haha!

TERRANCE BAR AND GRILL
Terrance Bar is one of my favourite spot in KL Journal as I'm able to gaze at the night view of KL city and at the same time listening to the live band performance.

As it was Saturday, all ladies are able to get a glass of refreshing and icy-cold cocktail for free. Overall it is a relaxing place for me to enjoy my drinks and give my brain a break.

INFINITY POOL @ ROOFTOP
As we want to explore other places in Kl Journal, me with Cheryl and Zhi Xin decided to check out the rooftop of KL Journal.
To my surprise, their infinity pool is filled with salt water which I have rarely heard from other hotels.

As it was impossible for us to swim at night, so we just keep taking pictures besides the pool.

The night view of Bukit Bintang is breathtaking!

It's almost 3 years since I joined The Butterfly Project as part of the members and I'm so glad that I was with this community again at last year December for a staycation. I still remember when I was new to blog, I was so lost in everything until I found this community through Facebook. The Butterfly Project has given blog newbies, even long-term bloggers lots of opportunity like products review, event invitation, and the community birthday celebration, as well as sharing blogging tips by holding a workshop for us(butterflies) so we can be more independent in our blogging journey.
I would like to specially thanks to Mamasan Tammy for always take care of us & thanks Traveloka and The Butterfly Project for having me❤️

So that's all about my weekend escape with Traveloka and The Butterfly Project! I hope you enjoy reading!

Goodnight,
