Have you ever thought that you can taste the Pantone colour in your desserts and beverage? Now you can found it at Caffé Bene!
A few weeks ago, I was invited by The Butterfly Project to attend Caffé Bene Ultra Violet Series Party located at 1 Utama Shopping Center. To match the party theme, all of us are required to wear ultra violet/purple outfits, which is also the Pantone Colour trend in 2018. I can't wait to see everyone wearing purple for this party and at the same time super excited to try out their new seasonal menu!
I'm so happy to meet butterflies again in this party after our staycation at KL Journal Hotel!

I have no idea why it is so hard to find a purple outfit in Malaysia but luckily I still manage to find it inside my closet pheww. This is my one and only purple top btw haha!

Before we try out the new series desserts and beverages, we had a short briefing and Q&A session with Miriam from Caffé Bene. She has introduced the new seasonal menu and also about Caffé Bene to us. Through this session, we able to know more story about Caffé Bene and also the concept for the latest seasonal series. Miriam also taught us how to eat Bingsu too! Curious now? Caffé Bene has launched new series which is all about PURPLE SWEET POTATO!
I'm a big fan of purple sweet potato, I can actually have sweet potato for my 3 meals if possible lol.
I can't wait to try out everything and it is so so aesthetic! Are you ready?
💜Ultra Violet Sweet Potato Bingsu (RM29.90)💜
I always want to try out Korean Bingsu once in my life and finally it is here!
Bingsu is actually one of a famous dessert in Korea. For me, it is more like a Korean version of "Ice Kacang". This sweet potato bingsu is made up with layers of shaved ice and some purple sweet potatoes, for the topping there is some crunchy granola, bouncy agar jelly and the seasonal Ultra Violet Sweet Potato Gelato as well! This is my first time to try out Korea Bingsu and do you know that there is a correct way to have bingsu instead of just straight away dig and eat?
BENE-WAY TO EAT BINGSU
All you need to do is use your spoon to press the ice cream down, and mix everything together, and it's time to enjoy our bingsu hooray!
Sone of my friends told me that they don't like bingsu before because there is no taste when you dig until the end, well I guess they're using the wrong way to have their bingsu. It's time to guide them already HAHA! By following the BENE-Way to enjoy bingsu, you can taste everything inside the bowl now instead of layer by layer until left ice at the end.
This double size bingsu is bigger than my face HAHA!

💜Ultra Violet Sweet Cream Waffle (RM18.90)💜
This dessert is going to give you a hot & cold combination taste! On top of Caffé Bene signature Belgium waffle was sprinkled with crunchy granola and sweet potato powder, as well as some whipped cream and seasonal purple sweet potato gelato on top.
It actually tastes even better while the waffle is still hot. The Belgium waffle is very crunchy just that it is slightly difficult for me to bite it (probably is because I have braces ...), other than that the sweet potato ice cream is totally a prefect match with Belgium waffle.
💜Ultra Violet Sweet Potato Latte (RM14.90)💜
If you're not a coffee person, purple sweet potato latte is going to be your type of drinks!
For me, this latte is tasted more like my morning cereal drink rather than a caffeine beverage. I like this latte because it is very milky and the sweet potato aroma and flavour is not over-sweetened.
Sweet potato latte can be served in cold or hot as well, it depends on your mood & preference on how you're going to enjoy it.

If you usually love to drink frappucino, I'm sure that you will like this sweet potato Frappeno too!
It contains ice blended purple sweet potato frappno, topped with whipped cream and some sprinkle of purple sweet potato powder.
This is my favourite drink as it has sweet potato paste inside, you can actually taste a thick sweet potato flavour in this Frappeno too!
Caffé Bene Ultra Violet Sweet Potato series it's not just Instagram worthy, the taste is also as great as its appearance too. My personal favourites from this series would be the bingsu, latte and frappeno!
