Hi all! The weather in KL is just extremely hot, we need to drink more water to keep yourself hydrated. Oh ya, don't forget about to keep your skin hydration too!

As I mentioned in my Althea Angels post, I received them before it was officially launched in Althea Korea website (it is available). I have tried out Althea latest skincare product, Real Fresh Skin Detoxer. I can't wait to share with you guys my thought on it as I have a really good impression on their Bare Essentials line.

You might wondering what's so special about them right?

Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer is a 2-in-1 product (mask + cleanser) which is made with premium & fresh ingredients (petal rose from France and green tea leaves from Jeju Island) to keep your skin healthy and clean in daily busy lifestyle. BTW it's a special collaboration product with Get It Beauty, a Korea No1 beauty TV show! Most importantly, it only required 10 seconds in your life to complete your masking lol!

From the packaging, you can find out Althea always love their product packaging design is simple yet aesthetic feel. I love the transparent tube so you can check whether it's still in good condition. There is two edition for Althea Real Fresh Skin Detoxer, Rose edition (morning routine) and Green Tea edition (night routine). On Althea's website it stated both are suitable for all skin types.

ROSE: Refining (for morning routine)

It contains real rose petals and extracts from Grasse roses handpicked from southern France. It helps to refine the skin and minimize pores while soothing redness to calm irritations for a healthy, well-rounded complexion. It is suggested to use in the morning routine.

GREEN TEA: Purifying (for night routine)

It contains real young green tea leaves and extracts from the pristine hillside of Jeju island. It helps to purify the skin and strengthening the skin’s barrier while smoothing out roughness for a healthy, well-rounded complexion. It is suggested to use in night routine.

Both of the texture are in gel type, at the same time you can clearly see some rose petals/green tea leaves inside. It will form into bubble type like normal cleanser after added some water. The scent is also very refreshing and calming too, not overpowering and fake, zangg!👍

After cleansing, all you need to do is squeeze out a generous amount and apply a relatively thick layer onto the dry skin. Leave the product for 10 seconds, then add a little bit of water and massage in circular motions with petal bubbles. (YES, 10s no kidding) Rinse it off after. It just exactly works like doing double cleansing for your face. Oh ya, you can actually use everyday too!

My Review

I tried both in the past few weeks. Both of it actually did a great job in deep cleansing and makes my skin feels refreshing, clean. It does not cause any breakout problem to my skin. However, I would say I prefer Rose edition rather than Green Tea.

I feel my skin was slightly drying and tightening after using the Green Tea edition, meanwhile Rose edition makes my skin feels smoother and hydrated. Currently, I'm using Green Tea straight away without cleans my face. Guess what? It works much better than I thought. Oh ya, I also suggest not too greedy trying to put the mask very thick because it will take some time to remove with water.

Overall, I’m quite impressed with this product since it’s doing well for my skin. Yet, I still feel this product is probably not so suitable for those with dry skin, especially the Green Tea edition. I actually read some reviews from other bloggers and find out some of them actually feel drying after using Rose edition, which was actually never happened to me. For me, different people have a different experience and thought, maybe you can try on your own first as sometimes it might not work on me but you hehe.

Pros
-Time saving, it only takes 10 seconds
-Using natural premium ingredients
-Comfortable and relaxing scent
- Doesn't cause skin breakout
-Both did a great job in cleansing
-Affordable price range

Cons
-Green Tea may not suitable for dry skin but oily/combination skin
-Hardly to cleans well if apply too thick
